19th January 2010: Astraware wins a Palm Addict award!
We're very excited to share with you that our good friends at Palm Addict have given us an award! In their 2009 winners, they've named Astraware the "Provider of the Best Mobile Games!" Palm Addict is a great site with a wide range of news and content created by a worldwide team of avid smartphone users. If you haven't already paid them a visit, then please do! 13th January 2010: Got a Droid? We've got games for you!
Right now there's a fantastic range of new phones to choose from and one of the most popular is the Android™ phone known as the Droid or the Milestone. Motorola's new phone has great specs including the Android 2.0 operating system, and a 480x854 resolution screen. We're very pleased to let you know that we have updated Astraware Sudoku and Astraware Solitaire to be compatible with these and other WVGA and FWVGA devices.
We'll be adding new games for Android phones to our site soon, so make sure to check back regularly!
18th December 2009: New for iPhone: Police Range and Funkyball Worlds
Fancy yourself as a sharp shooter? Want to test your speed and accuracy on the firing range? Then check out Police Range - our new target practice game for iPhone™ and iPod® touch!
Police Range has 2 game modes: Target Practice - the classic pop-up target training range; and Crime Alley which tests your nerve and reflexes as you take down the criminals but avoid shooting the civilians! It also includes OpenFeint online high scores and achievement points; and the My iPod Music feature which allows you to create your own music soundtrack from within the game using your iPod music.
Also new for iPhone and iPod touch is Funkyball Worlds a groovy physics-based platform game, developed by Gamelion Studios.
Traverse multiple scrolling 3D levels using a combination of accelerometer and multi-touch controls to roll, slide and jump the Funkyball through 3 different worlds each with multiple levels. Avoid hazards such as mines and lasers, and use tools like the ball launcher to help you along your way! Funkyball Worlds also includes OpenFeint online high scores and achievements, as well as unlockable graphics to customize your Funkyball!
