Astraware and PopCap announce the release of Zuma for Palm OS(R) and Windows Mobile(TM) for Pocket PC on January 6th 2005

THE MIDLANDS, UK – January 6th, 2005 – Astraware and PopCap are pleased to announce the release of Zuma for Palm OS® and Windows Mobile? for Pocket PC on January 6th 2005.

The handheld version of Zuma features all the fun and madness found in the online gaming favourite from PopCap. Zuma features colourful graphics that reflect the ancient South American civilisations and is accompanied by a panpipe music soundtrack and chanted sound effects to give a real flavour of South America.

“As always, Astraware has done a stellar job porting our game to handheld devices,” said Jason Kapalka, Creative Director of PopCap Games. “Their version of Zuma captures all the fun and flavor of the original.”

Players match sets of three or more coloured balls by firing them from the mouth of the mythical stone frog toward the advancing line of balls. Bonus balls that cause explosions, line reversal, and slow-downs appear at random to further enhance the gameplay and help players complete the levels.

Zuma will be available for Palm OS® and Windows Mobile? for Pocket PC handhelds. The Palm OS® version includes Hi-Res+ support in both landscape and portrait modes. The Windows Mobile? for Pocket PC version also supports scaling for VGA devices. Zuma is available from Astraware’s website, http://www.astraware.com, priced $19.95.”
